ZNBC’s Macpherson Mukuka reports that Mr Yaluma was speaking on arrival at Kalemie in Katanga Province in the Democratic Republic of Congo-DRC.

Mr Yaluma is among Ministers from Burundi, DRC and Tanzania who have converged in Kalemie for a 4 day conference to discuss the possible exploration of oil and gas on Lake Tanganyika.

The Minister is optimistic that the meeting will yield positive results that will benefit the four Nations.

And Congolese Minister of Hydrocarbons Ngoie Mukena is happy that his country is hosting the conference on hydrocarbons.

Professor Mukena said his country has seen it fit to dialogue over the potential oil and gas exploration on Lake Tanganyika because the water body is a shared resource.
