The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development has officially launched the third phase of the nationwide training program for artisanal gold miners.
This phase is taking place in Mpika District of Muchinga Provincer , with participants drawn from eight provinces across the country.
It targets 400 mining cooperatives, building on the success of earlier phases where more than 400 cooperatives were trained and licensed.
This initiative is a pivotal step in formalizing the artisanal mining sector — enhancing safety, boosting productivity, and driving economic empowerment.
It aligns with the New Dawn Administration’s agenda of creating opportunities and ensuring sustainable growth for communities.
Together, we are shaping a safer, stronger, and more inclusive mining industry for Zambia!
