The Service Delivery Charter

This 2024-2028 Service Delivery Charter builds upon the review of the 2018-2023 Charter. It represents a vital agreement between you our esteemed clients and the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development. As we outline our services and standards, we extend our consideration to all citizens, investors, and officers from other government departments seeking assistance from our Ministry.
Our Charter harmonizes with the 2022-2026 National Strategic Plan (NSP), emphasizing transparency, accountability, and efficiency within the mining sector. We commit to a set of key delivery services, diligently tracking progress and measuring performance.

We encourage implementers, supervisors, and clients to actively contribute to sustainable mining and oil and gas production for economic development.
Zambia aims to become a prosperous middle-income country by 2030; as outlined in Vision
2030 and operationalized in the 2022-2026 Eighth National Development Plan (8NDP).

The Government of the Republic of Zambia, through this Ministry actively contributes to economic transformation and job creation. We focus on mining, petroleum development, environmental remediation, and operational excellence. Our goal is to promote investment in exploration, mining development, mining and processing.
This Charter outlines service standards and expectation, and offers details on how to contact the Ministry and how to report complaints if you are not satisfied with our services.
Through regular performance reviews we shall ensure that we meet our service targets. As such, we intend to make this Charter a living document. To this end, we have established a system of monitoring, evaluating and disseminating results from implementation of the
Charter. This will be done through independent surveys and consultations with you our clients.
The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development welcomes your feedback as we work together to deliver valuable public services to you, our clients.
